Welcome to the 2021-2022 School Year!
I am the 6th grade guidance counselor at CMMS. I am looking forward to getting to know each of my students. It is important to remember that all of my 6th graders are new to McAuliffe and are all learning how to use lockers and maneuver around the building for the first time. We have a lot to look forward to this year! Remember to be patient, kind and flexible. We will all get through this year together!
About me: This is my 32nd year in education in Jackson. Middle school years can be challenging...during these three years you will experience many ups and downs. You will learn to be more responsible and mature. We will work together to prepare you for high school (which will be here before you know it). I am an avid Harley rider and enjoy riding with my husband on back roads during our free time. We have a 20 year old daughter who is a Junior at college.
I am so happy to be at McAuliffe with all of you "in person." This year is going to be all about being flexible and kind to one another. We have all dealt with a lot of unexpected changes, but with these changes have come some positive outcomes and experiences, too. During students' time at home, I have heard of some great acts of selflessness and patience. I am proud of each and every one of you for what you have accomplished and overcome...
Feel free to email me or fill out a google form for a meeting time. Forms are located on your teachers' class pages/google classroom.
It's going to be a great 6th grade year!
