Jacqueline Wright

First of all, I would like to say that I am an English language learner (ELL), my first language is Spanish and I started learning English at the age of 13. I am familiar with the struggle, anxiety and challenges of an English as a Second Language (ESL) student because I have been in the same situation. I also have skills, strategies and multiple resources that are helpful for ESL students. 

The main focus of my college education was teaching English to elementary school students.

I have had the pleasure to work with English language learners (ELLs) for many years, in different levels and ages; I am glad to be in Lucy Holman Elementary School and offer my knowledge and experience to our students.

I have also being a reading interventionist, and this year I will use this experience combined with ESL strategies and approaches to improve the students' English language mastery.
