- Grading Policy
Please come to class prepared with a writing implement, a three-ring binder/paper.
III. Procedures and Expectations
Participation: Work diligently whether in collaboration with others or independently, as the activity requires. Participation will be recognized and reflected in the day’s participation grade; likewise, a lack of engagement with the day’s activities will reflect poorly on your daily participation grade.
Deadlines: will be announced and will be posted on the class calendar. The link to this is accessible on google/classroom/stream/course syllabus
Reading quizzes: to be expected on both an announced as well as an unannounced basis. Reading quizzes count as homework grades.
Homework: will ONLY be accepted late in the event of a corresponding absence; makeup work is expected to be turned in within a period that matches the number of days absent.
Absences notwithstanding, NO LATE HOMEWORK (10-point, overnight assignments) will be accepted.
Lost logins will NEVER be accepted as an excuse for missed deadlines.
Assignments worth more than 10 points such as essays will be accepted late regardless of reason; however, a 10% point deduction will be exacted for EACH day late.
