• This course will develop a student’s ability to identify and analyze real world social issues and work to expand problem solving skills, to develop an action plan and to verbally present a potential solution. This course will expand one’s ability to research, debate, work collaboratively and present a plan of action. Additionally, the ability to identify ways to incorporate service learning involvement and how it relates to social and community issues within the township of Jackson, the school and the community at large is a valuable life-long skill. The goal of this course is to expose students to social issues which face us in a 21st Century global environment and help students understand that they too can address these issues in a logical and progressive manner.
