  • Notice & Note Fiction Signpost Sentence Starters

When reading independently at home, use these sentence starters to help you identify the fiction signposts you notice. Write the first sentence starter on the front on a post-it note and complete the second sentence starter on the back. Be sure to bring them into class to put them into your reading journal. When you finish your book, you will complete a Finished It worksheet that is located in the back of the classroom on the bookshelf. You will need to select 8 of your best examples of the signposts and stick them to the worksheet and place it in the bin labeled Tracker Sheets. Then you will have to complete a Loved it worksheet and file it in the Book Buzz binder that is also located on the bookshelf in the classroom.
