    Fashion Technology I Fabric Requirements:

Each student will be making several projects (approximately 8-10 projects) in Fashion Technology I on the sewing machine.  Students will be able to purchase their fabric for these projects.  I am asking that students purchase ALL their fabric at the beginning of semester 2 and bring it in to school where it will be stored.  The information below is what students need in order to purchase their own fabric for their sewing projects for the semester:

    • 3 yards of one COTTON fabric for various projects.
    • 3 yards of a different COTTON fabric for various projects.
    • 3 yards of COTTON fabric for PJ Pants.

Please purchase only cotton fabrics – soft cottons, cotton blends, or cotton flannel.  It is NOT recommended that students purchase any type of knit fabric or fleece fabric.  In addition, a solid color or all-over print is easiest to work with.  Fabrics need to be washed and pre-shrunk at home prior to bringing them into school.  Follow all washing instructions given on the fabric bolt or according to the fiber content.

If you have any questions about purchasing fabric, please feel free to reach out to me at any time!
