2017-2018 Final Jackson School District Budget

Fast Facts about the Final 2017-2018 School Budget:

  • The School Budget was approved on Tuesday, April 25.
  • Calls for a 0.96% increase over the previous year's school budget
  • Combination of general fund tax levy and decrease to debt service tax levy means this budget will cost the average homeowner a total of approximately $36 more in annual school taxes
  • Holds firm on programs and allows district to make investments in curriculum and facilities

2017-2018 Tentative Budget

Fast Facts about the 2017-2018 Tentative Budget:

  • The Tentative Budget will continue to be reviewed and refined until the Board of Education votes on a Proposed Budget on Tuesday, April 25.
  • Calls for a 0.9% increase over the previous year's school budget
  • Combination of general fund tax levy and decrease to debt service tax levy means this tentative budget will cost the average homeowner a total of approximately $34 more in annual school taxes
  • Holds firm on programs and allows district to make investments in curriculum and facilities
  • Public Hearing on the Proposed Budget will be held on Tuesday, April 25 at 6:30 p.m. in the Fine Arts Center of Jackson Memorial High School
