Nonpublic School Programs

New Jersey Chapters 192 and 193 provide state-funded services to eligible students enrolled full-time in nonpublic schools. Services are provided in accordance with New Jersey Department of Education requirements and are based on individual student eligibility and need.

The Jackson School District engages in timely and meaningful consultation with eligible nonpublic schools regarding the provision of equitable services under applicable Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA) programs. Consultation is an ongoing process used to identify needs, plan services, review available funding, and make decisions regarding the delivery and evaluation of services.

Required Annual Information & Forms

Participating nonpublic schools are asked to submit required information and documentation each year to support the planning and timely implementation of equitable services.

Title I, Part A provides supplemental educational services to eligible students attending nonpublic schools. Services are designed to address identified academic needs and are provided in accordance with federal requirements through ongoing consultation between the public school district and participating nonpublic schools.

Title III, Part A supports services designed to help English learners attain English language proficiency and support the academic achievement of English learners and eligible immigrant students. Eligible nonpublic school students, their teachers, and other educational personnel may receive equitable services based on identified needs and consultation with the district.

Title IV, Part A supports activities designed to provide students with a well-rounded education, promote safe and healthy school environments, and support the effective use of technology.
