    Our first reading unit is Second Grade Reading Growth spurt. Students will be reading fiction stories in class. Please make sure your child is reading for 15-20 minutes each night. Students should be logging minutes read at home and having a parent/guardian initial their log.
    Our first writing unit is Revving Up Writing Muscles. We will review what the students learned in 1st grade and establish routines and expectations for 2nd grade.

    Unit Spelling Rules:
    Rules will be assessed approximately every 2 weeks

    *Parents--Please make sure your child completes their homework each night. They will have 1 math worksheet, 1 literacy (phonics/grammar) worksheet, and 20 minutes of reading. Please sign their reading log nightly.
