Students will be dismissed at 1:15. HOWEVER- students must gononline from home daily for support from 2-3. They are still technically in school. Attendance is taken daily.
I will be available for small group instruction for any students from 2:05-2:35 (Reading, Writing) and 2:35-3:00 for Math) Monday through Thursday
Literacy- 9:15-10:15 I am providing in-class resource support for students in Ms. Burke's Literacy Class for Reading and Writing this year. We are starting a new unit- HIDTORICAL FICTION. Your child should be reading his/her Historical Fiction book DAILY 30 minutes and responding in his/her reading notebook. WEe are reading in Historical Book Clubs. Your child needs to read each night- the assigned number of pages to be prepared to discuss in groups. You must take notes to add to the discussion.
Writing 10:15-10:55- We are going to be writing a Literary Essay this marking period. We are focusing on the theme(themes) in the books we are reading in class and in our book clubs.
The link for Google Meets for afterschool (reading and writing help daily from 2:05-2:35) is under Google Classroom. Let me know if you need help .You do not need to attend every day or the whole period, just as needed or if asked your child to attend.
Math- I am providing pull-out replacement math services for students in the third/fourth/ fifth grades. The students will be using Pearson- Savaas . Your child will be exposed to the common core standards for the third/fourth/fifth grade levels, with objectives to address individualized skills. We will be using the Instructional Videos, lessons, Buddy Practices, Reteaching, homework and IXL computer program to go along with the skills being taught or focused upon. We will have access to several computer-based lessons, games and activities to engage and challenge students and hopefully find a way to let them experience math in a variety of ways to help them learn and practice math skills.
We are working on FRACTIONS.
Extra math help daily 2:35-3:00 if needed to review lesson, prior lessons, homework.
Daily fact practice on Xtra Math or flashcards.
