• I'm Chief Sylvester, the Aerospace Science Instructor for Jackson Memorial High School. I retired from the United States Air Force in 2020 after a 30 + year career of both active duty and reserve service. I've held several career specialties, including flying, and I look forward to bringing my aerospace and leadership experiences to the Cadets in our program.

For school year 2022 - 2023, we'll be studying from the Air Force provided textbook, "Life Skills & Career Opportunities."  This component of the course will introduce students to charting a financial course of action, managing resources, career opportunities, college options, and employment possibilities. The course is designed to help students begin to consider the options and possibilities for their futures.

Much of the course material, to include textbook reading, associated articles, and supplemental videos and assignments, will be posted on Google Classroom. Students will be required to join; the classroom code is "ojkczfo." Parents and guardians are invited to join as well.

Looking forward to a successful year!
