***7th grade students continuing with the band program next year should keep their instruments over the summer so that they will be ready to go in September!***

Welcome to the 4th marking period!

New band asignments are now available on the same google classroom pages as before.  Please read the asignments!  Many students are not getting credit for their work because they are not makin it as "turned in" or "completed" in classroom.  Let's make sure to do that every day this term!

Students with instruments should be playing them.  Students without instruments should be saying the rhythms, doing fingers only etc.  EVERYONE does the work, instrument or not!

PLEASE LOG INTO MY GOOGLE CLASSROOM USING THE FOLLOWING CODES:

Welcome to the bandroom!   My name is Mr. McCarthy and I have been teaching in Jackson for 30 years.  My primary instrument is Trumpet, and I do like to play the piano.  I love teaching students about music, and I have very high expectations for my ensembles.  Band can be fun, when you put the work into it.  You have to do your homework and practice your music in order to do well. The more you put into it, the more you'll get out of it!

    WE PLAY GREAT MUSIC HERE!

    LETS HAVE A GREAT YEAR!
