Teaching is an absolute passion of mine, and I am so excited to work with you and your child this school year! Although this school year will be like no other, I will try my best so that all students have a successful experience and school year ahead!

To start off, I thought you might like to know a little bit about me. A few hobbies that I enjoy are yoga, paddle boarding, the beach, reading, and spending time with my husband and two kids. I have been in a teacher in the Jackson School District for 12 years now and still love it more than ever.  It is my mission to instill a love for learning in my students and I inspire to teach with a passion so that my students develop a desire to become life-long learners.

This year the students will be on a Hybrid Schedule split into two cohorts depending on your last names (A-K Cohort 1, L-Z Cohort 2).  When your child is on a virtual day, they are expected to log on to google classroom and work independently throughout the day on assignments given.  In addition to their work on google classroom, they will have their live google meets when our in school students go home for the day.  Therefore, our Literacy Meets will be at 2:20 and 3:00, depending on what group you are in.  Finalized independent schedules will be sent home with your children from School.  Our Math Meets will be at 2:40 on your virtual-only days.  During these times I will be checking in with students to see how their day went and if any additional help is needed.

Students that will be in school will not have live google meets when they go home from school.  For now, times for the live google meets will be announced by the teacher on your google classroom assignment.  Specific times will be coming in the following weeks so I can group students accordingly and target skills.

Please let me know if you have any questions, concerns, or ideas. It is so important to keep communication open between us and I would love to talk to you whenever you feel the need! I hope you have enjoyed your summer and I look forward to a great year together!
