Principal's November Letter
Dear Rosenauer Parents,
October has come and gone! I cannot believe we are about to begin the month of November. This past month was full of weekly events such as, the Week of Respect, School Violence Awareness and Red Ribbon week. Students were asked to wear certain colored clothes, wear funny hats, mismatch etc. All of which was to show support for the events. Teachers took the opportunity to provide their classes with lessons geared to awareness, respect and making good choices. Thank you parents for helping show support for all those important events.
Remember the 26th is our TRUNK OR TREAT event. This event will be held in our back parking lot and will begin at 6:30 pm. This is a great night where students can get a jump start on Halloween. So come on out and enjoy this PTA run function! Additional information is available in the Back Pack. We are monitoring the weather and are preparing (IF NECESSARY) to hold the event in our APR. IF we need to make the change we will notify parents using our email blaster and the PTA will post the change of venue on Facebook.
Our Halloween parade will be held on October 31st at 2 PM. Students in kindergarten through grade 3 will march in the parade. Students in 4th and 5th grade will line up in the back of the building to watch. Our Pre-K programs will have their own parades. AM Pre-K will march on the basketball court at 12:00 and our PM Pre-K classes will march at 3:30 in the same location. Reminder: I have posted a letter in our Backpack to parents regarding our Halloween parade and clarification on what the expectations are for costumes. Please read the document before purchasing and sending your child/children to school with a costume.
Parents please remember that we offer breakfast to all students, daily. All students have the opportunity to purchase a breakfast between 9:10, when the school opens to students, until 9:25, when students report to homeroom.

Jackson School District Special Question on School Security Nov. 6:
As we discussed last year, on Nov. 6, the Jackson School District is asking voters to decide on a Special Question to hire six additional security guards to provide optimum security coverage. Our goal is to provide you with INFORMATION to make an informed choice and to let you know of the opportunities to ask questions or provide feedback, including a public forum at the Oct. 16 Board of Education Meeting (6:30 p.m. at JMHS).
Please view our page on the district website for more information, including what we are proposing and why, how much it will cost, how you can register to vote and/or vote by mail if you wish.
(Remember, IF you want to cast a ballot on this or any other item on Election Day (Nov. 6), you must be a registered voter. The county must receive your voter registration form by Oct. 16. All forms and deadlines are available on our site.)
