Principal's Message
December Parent Letter,
Before going over the month's activities I would like to look ahead and take this opportunity to wish all our families a very happy holiday! I hope everyone enjoys the time off and spends quality time with the ones you love!
REMEMBER WE HAVE AN EARLY DISMISSAL (1:55) ON FRIDAY, DECEMBER 21ST.
With the holidays quickly approaching December is full of activities and events. We had Dare assemblies for the K-4, our PTA hosted a Holiday Shop and Santa’s Workshop and the Rotary Club came to distribute free Dictionaries to all our 3rd graders. In addition to those events, I was excited to have lunch with students who have shown great character throughout the month. We discussed their favorite books, after school activities, as well as plans for the holidays, etc. It is a wonderful opportunity for me to talk with students and get to know them.
It is with great honor that I get to announce the 2018 Teacher of the Year and Educational Professional of the Year. Each year, staff is asked to nominate individuals they believe have gone above and beyond to help educate students in the building. Many teachers were nominated and worthy of this honor. Former Teachers of the Year read the nominations and voted on this year’s winners. Congratulations to our 2018 Teacher of the Year Mrs. Caloia, our Preschool teacher. Our Educational Professional of the Year goes to Mrs. Westreich, our speech therapist. Both educators are outstanding and I am so happy for them. Well deserved!
Attention Everyone! We have the list of the top 30 spellers in grades 4 and 5 who will compete in our Annual Rosenauer Spelling Bee Championship! On Friday, January 11th, these students will go head to head to determine the Rosenauer Spelling Champion.
