December's Principal Message

Dear Rosenauer Parents,

It is hard to believe we are saying goodbye to 2019 and hello to 2020. We have had a great fall and are looking forward to a wonderful winter.

Our fifth graders are going to be performing their winter concert at Jackson Liberty High School on January 16th at 6:30.  I cannot wait to see our talented students perform on stage under the bright lights. Rosenauer families are welcome and encouraged to come out and support Mrs. Noble and our 5th graders on Thursday, January 16th. You WILL NOT be disappointed!

For our Spanish speaking families, I am happy to report that we will continue to staff our PTA and Coffee with the Principals with a Spanish translator.  Our PTA is an essential part of the success of this building and we need parent support for many of our upcoming events.  Future meetings will focus on events that will directly support the students of Rosenauer so please make every effort to attend either the PTA meeting at night or the Coffee with the Principal meeting.

Another exciting event is our Snowman Soup fundraiser.  This wonderful idea comes from our Enrichment students who are working to develop and help fund a scholarship to be given to a former Rosenauer student graduating from Liberty High School.  The scholarship is named after Mrs. Denise Meinders who worked at Rosenauer for over 20 years and touched so many lives in a positive way. This project really shows the high level of character and school pride so please click on the link and help support our students.

Lastly, I would like to be the first to publicly congratulate our 2019 Teacher of the Year and Educational Professional of the Year.  Both Mrs. Amey, Special Education teacher in grade 3 and Mrs. Donner, Reading Specialist at Rosenauer are exceptional educators and I could not be prouder of their work ethic and dedication to both their peers and the students.  We will be honoring them and all Jackson Teacher of the Year recipients at a Board of Education meeting on January 22nd at 6:30. If you are free, come out and show your support for these two outstanding educators!

Parents please remember that we offer breakfast to all students, daily.  All students have the opportunity to purchase a breakfast between 9:10, when the school is open to students, until 9:25, when students report to homeroom.

Sincerely,

Ron Polakowski

Principal
