Principal's Message
Hello Switlik Families,
It’s hard to believe that we are more than halfway through the school year! I am honored to continue serving this amazing community, now as your principal. I look forward to continuing to build on the great work we’ve done together and ensuring that every child’s educational experience is one of growth, support, and success. I am truly excited for the journey ahead.
I am also pleased to introduce Mrs. Melissa Lambert as our new assistant principal. Mrs. Lambert comes to us from within our district, and while this is a new role for her, she has taken on many leadership roles during her time at McAuliffe Middle School and will be a great addition to the Switlik community. I am confident that, together, we will continue to create a welcoming, nurturing environment where all students can thrive.
As a reminder, students arriving late to school must be accompanied by a parent or guardian into the building to be signed in. Please do not drop your children off unattended to traverse to the building alone.
The Ocean County Health Department will be visiting our school with 6-week programs designed for our second and third grade students beginning this month. Our third grade students will be presented with a program called Unique You and our second grade students will be presented with a program called Footprints For Life.
Switlik School has welcomed NJ4S Compass to our classrooms in November and will continue to do so throughout the school year. New Jersey Statewide Student Support Services (NJ4S Compass), a statewide initiative from the Department of Children and Families (DCF), was designed to enhance access for schools to provide FREE prevention and mental wellness services for students, staff, parents and caregivers through counseling services and presentations. NJ4S COMPASS, a program of Preferred Behavioral Health Group, serves public and charter school students and families of Monmouth and Ocean Counties. The following programs will be brought to our students:
