November 2025
Happy Fall Everyone,
It’s incredible how quickly this school year is flying by! I’m continually inspired by the dedication and effort our students show every single day. A big thank you to the PTN for their hard work organizing Trunk or Treat and our other fall events!
This year’s Trunk or Treat was a huge success, with over 1,000 attendees filling our campus with excitement and community spirit. The creative trunk decorations were a highlight of the night, and the energy was unmatched thanks to the great music provided by our DJ. We’re also so appreciative of the student volunteers from JTHS who gave their time to help make the event run smoothly.
A heartfelt thank you once again to our PTN for going above and beyond to create such a memorable experience for our students, families, and staff. Your dedication and enthusiasm continue to make our school community shine!
Parent Teacher Conferences will take place on Monday, November 3rd through Wednesday, November 5th. The school will run on a shortened day schedule for students on those dates (9:10 a.m. – 1:40 p.m.)
During American Education Week, November 17–21, we celebrate the spirit of learning and the people who make it possible. To our teachers, support staff, students, and families—thank you for your unwavering commitment and teamwork. Your dedication helps create an environment where curiosity flourishes and every student can succeed.
Switlik School welcomed NJ4S Compass to our classrooms last month, and will continue to do so throughout the year. New Jersey Statewide Student Support Services (NJ4S Compass), a statewide initiative from the Department of Children and Families (DCF), was designed to enhance access for schools to provide FREE prevention and mental wellness services for students, staff, parents and caregivers through counseling services and presentations. NJ4S COMPASS, a program of Preferred Behavioral Health Group, serves public and charter school students and families of Monmouth and Ocean Counties.
November’s Classroom Presentations are as follows:
-
Grade 2 - November 11, 2025 Mindful Moments

This year, we are pleased to announce a session for our parents on December 10, 2025 from 6:30-7:30 p.m. Navigating the Digital World presented in the APR. Please RSVP to this event here.
