Welcome to Carl W. Goetz Middle School! We hope you had an enjoyable summer and are ready to learn and have fun in the 2018-2019 school year!
We hope the 6th-grade students enjoyed their introduction to the school with their Orientation on August 30th. Almost the entire grade toured the school, learned about the people that will be helping them throughout the year, and even got to try their locker combinations! The PTN and 50 volunteer teachers and students did a wonderful job of welcoming over 300 students into the building that day! We implore you to join the PTN this year to help them hold even more events for our students.
Our Sports programs are up and running for the Fall. We wish them luck as they start the season. If you are not involved in Fall sports we invite you to try out for a team in the Winter or Spring seasons.
This year, Carl W. Goetz Middle School is focused on addressing all the needs of today’s student. Academically, we are exploring numerous methods to use data to drive our classroom instruction. Our implementation of Responsive Classroom techniques and the development of the new Habit, Community and Culture class are ways in which we are meeting their Social Emotional Learning needs.
Our Back to School Night events are September 24th for 6th grade and September 26th for 7th & 8th Grade students. Both evening events will begin at 7PM. We look forward to seeing you all there!
