The upcoming month has much in store for our students. Our 8th graders will be meeting with counselors to begin to select high school course placements. The sixth and seventh graders will be completing the Humanities electives forms in the next few weeks as we begin to plan for next year’s middle school schedule.
As the second marking period closes on Jan 31, it is important to maintain positive communication with teachers and counselors as to your child’s academic progress. Students who are struggling have opportunities for peer tutoring and extra help with teachers to fill in the gaps and provide support as needed. Please refer to the student handbook for information regarding middle school promotion and to ensure your child is in good academic standing.
Our athletic teams are finishing up a very successful season and we are feverishly preparing for our spring musical. There will be a dance for our 7th and 8th grade students on Friday, February 7th in the school cafeteria.
The McAuliffe School is currently reviewing our recent survey results based on the survey many of you and your children completed on our homeroom advisory period. This information will be vital in helping us review and restructure activities and programming for this period.
Please keep an eye out on information regarding spring sports try-outs. All students require a valid and up to date physical form on file in the nurses’ office. Please reach out to our school nurses with any questions.
