Jackson Schools Will Resume In-Person Learning on Monday, Jan. 10, 2022

Jan. 7, 2022

Dear JSD Families and Staff,

This message is to inform you that all Jackson Schools will be open for in-person learning on Monday, January 10th.

Please note that there may still be delays in bus pick-up and drop offs due to the nationwide shortage of bus drivers and the continued surge of the staff required to isolate or quarantine.  Thank you for your patience and understanding as we continue to navigate these difficult times.

Additionally, for your information, on Dec. 16, 2021, the New Jersey Department of Health shortened the quarantine timeframes and protocols for students who have been exposed to COVID and not showing any symptoms. These protocols allow for asymptomatic close contacts who show proof of a negative COVID test between day 5 and day 7 to return on day 8.

In order to help with getting students to return to school quickly, any parent who would like to bring their asymptomatic child in to be tested for COVID, the Jackson School District will be hosting free COVID testing for students starting on January 10, 2022, through LTS the testing company who tests our staff.  This testing is VOLUNTARY and parents can elect to bring their asymptomatic child in to be tested weekly or intermittently, as needed.
