Principal's Message

June, 2018

Dear Johnson Families,

Thank you everyone for a wonderful school year! Many celebrations were held in our classrooms as the school year comes to an end.  We are very proud of our kindergarten students, who did a great job at their Pledge Ceremony!   We are looking forward to seeing them all in 1st grade.  On Tuesday, we celebrated our 5th grade students at their Moving Up Ceremony.  We wish them all the best in Middle School!

3rd Marking Period Report Cards are available on the Portal Monday, June 25th.

Thank you to the PTO for all the wonderful assemblies and trips throughout the school year! We appreciate their hard work all year to raise money and bring us together as a community at special events.

If you are moving during the summer and will be transferring your child(ren), please contact the main office Monday through Thursday between the hours of 8:00AM and 3:30PM. If you are moving within the Jackson School District, you will need to sign an Internal Transfer Form and provide proofs of your new residency before your child’s records can be transferred.  If you are moving out of the Jackson School District, you will need to sign a Student Transfer Verification Form.  A transfer card and a copy of your child(ren)’s health records(s) will be provided to register at a new school. The following information is needed to complete the transfer card:  new home address, new school name, and the new school address.

FROM THE PTO

The H.C. Johnson PTO thanks all of our families, volunteers, and school staff for a terrific year of fun-filled activities! We wish all of our 5th graders a smooth transition to middle school and all the best in your future endeavors. We can't wait to see the awesome things you are going to do! We also wish a fond farewell to the families whose last student is leaving Johnson this year and to the teachers and staff who are retiring or moving on to new positions. We will miss you and hope you leave with beautiful memories of your time here at Johnson.

We have even more great things in the works for next year (including Johnson's 50th anniversary!), so now is the perfect time to join our Remind text messaging service (http://www.remind.com/join/hcjp), our Facebook group (http://)www.facebook.com/groups/hcjpto/), and our email list (http://hcjpto.org/about/staying-in-touch/). Have a fantastic and safe summer! See you in September!
