Happy Spring Break to our Johnson Families!

 

We hope all of you enjoyed our celebrations this month both in our classrooms and sponsored by our fabulous PTO and Reading Specialist, Ms. Donnelly.  Our Read-a-thon was a huge success!  Throughout the week families enjoyed activities and celebrations in the classroom such as egg hunting, bread baking, and other numerous arts and crafts.   Spring is certainly here and celebrated at the Johnson School!

 

Learners in Grades 4 and 5 will be moving up to their Upper Elementary School in September.

Our fourth graders that applied to be on the Safety Patrol had their applications reviewed and accepted.  They will officially be inaugurated the week of April 28th.  Kudos to our fifth grade leaders and their new fourth grade inductees.

 

All families with learners moving to different buildings and locations, are welcome to join informational meetings at the following schools for the following grade levels:

The district has scheduled some "welcome nights" for the students who are moving up. 

May 7th at 6 pm- Family Welcome Night for incoming 5th Graders at Goetz

May 13th - Open House for all incoming 9th grade and Memorial 10/11/12 at Liberty

May 14th - Family Welcome Night for incoming 6th grade at Goetz

May 27th: Family Welcome Night for Incoming 7th and 8th grade at Memorial

 

Some reminders:

 

SPRING BREAK:  School is closed Friday, April 18th through Friday, April 25th.

                               Students return on MONDAY, April 28th.

 

Tomorrow, Thursday ~ April 17, is a shortened day.  Dismissal begins at 1:30pm and concludes no later than 1:40pm.  There is morning and afternoon childcare.  Please remember that students who are not dismissed or picked up on time will be charged  a fee as per district procedures.

 

Administrative Assistant Day:  April 23

Earth Day:  April 25

Staff Appreciation Week:  May 5-9

NJSLA Testing:  May 6 & 7; and May 13, 14, 15

Grade 4 Moving Up:  June 10 at 12pm;     Grade 5 Moving Up:  June 10 at 10am;
