The Jackson School District believes that by providing this dual enrollment option to students already enrolled in a Jackson High School approved courses, students can, for a low cost per credit, also receive credit for the aligned Ocean County College Course without leaving their high school classroom. Students will follow the same curriculum and take the same tests, while additionally earning college credits. Students enrolled in AP classes are still required to take the AP test. We believe it is a great way to get a jump start on college credits, at a low cost that can be transferred to OCC or many other colleges and universities.
Students planning to enroll in the dual credit option should do the following:
- Complete the online registration form by Wednesday, August 28th (see below).
- Complete the OCC Embedded Course Application and FERPA Release Forms. These should be returned to your high school Guidance Office no later than September 7th.
- The current cost for the dual enrollment program is $97 per credit. Please note that bills are issued by OCC and payment is made directly to OCC. Most classes are 3 credits, however, there may be additional fees dependent on the course.
