Parents, I want to leave this message for you…
Right now, don't worry about your child regressing in school. Every single kid in the USA is in this boat and they all will be OK! When we get back to the classroom, we will meet them where they are and go from there. At the end of all of this, your child's mental health will be more important than their academic skills. And how they felt at this time will stay with them long after the memory of these weeks is long gone. So, keep that in mind every single day!

In the event of a future school closing, students are coming home today with a review packet. The packets were scanned and sent to you via email.
Please disregard the lessons attached to the district website, as our program is utilizing these resources instead. The activities in the packet are based off of classroom instruction and are skills that students are working to master.
Please read the cover letters and complete one literacy and one math activity per day. I recommend utilizing a timer and working in increments of 15-20 minutes and then allowing a break. Please send them back to school when we return.
I will be available via email for any questions or concerns as students are completing the packet at home. Please don’t hesitate to reach out during school hours!
Thank you for your support and continuing our student’s learning at home!
WE ARE A PEANUT/TREE NUT FREE CLASSROOM!!!!
I would like to welcome you and your child to my classroom. I hope you’ve enjoyed your summer and are ready to begin an exciting new year. I look forward to getting to know your child and preparing him/her for the next grade level. I have planned lessons to motivate student learning and help them with organization while improving their self-esteem.
I will discuss specific classroom procedures at Back-To-School Night. We will be utilizing the chromebooks throughout the school year. It would be beneficial for your child to bring in their own headphones/earbuds to use over the course of the year. Please send them in a Ziploc baggie with their name clearly labeled on it.
Some others items that would be helpful are:
*crayons & markers
I encourage you to provide any suggestions or information that can help me in meeting your child’s educational needs and promoting his/her intellectual growth. Please feel free to contact me at anytime via email at firstname.lastname@example.org or 732.833.4640.
I look forward to working with you and your child!
