Our Unit of Study: Pets

Our second unit of study focuses on the wonderful animals we keep as pets. Through this six-week investigation, students will discover the diverse characteristics of different pets and learn about the responsibilities of caring for them. 

During this unit, students will explore:

• Animal Characteristics: What makes a pet a pet? 
• Responsible Pet Care: What does a pet need to be happy and healthy?
• Empathy and Kindness: We'll discover the importance of treating all living creatures with respect. 
• Pet Ownership Duties: Understanding all the important jobs involved in being a responsible pet owner.
