Principal's Message, October 21, 2024
Dear Johnson Families:
Our "Bingo Night" was a HUGE success - we could not have done it without all of you!
This week is 'Safe Schools Week' and the participation and engagement from our students and staff is wonderful to see. We have a few other events planned for October, so mark your calendars:
- The PTO "Trunk or Treat" event is this Thursday, October 24th from 6pm to 8pm on the bus ramp.
- The Johnson Annual Halloween Parade will be Thursday, October 31st at 10am. (weather permitting it will be outside and adults can view from outside; inclement weather it will be inside and due to space - adults will not be able to attend.)
- Remember, safe costumes if your child is dressing up on 10/31. No masks, safe shoes, no weapons, etc. Thank you for your collaboration.
We continue to be mindful of SAFETY, especially with it being 'Safe Schools Week.'
ALL FAMILIES: please be mindful of the STOP SIGNS and the TRAFFIC PATTERNS in front of our building, and also be mindful of the STUDENTS and FAMILIES that are walking their children into school each morning and/or picking them up each afternoon. We have had a few serious concerns these past few days with TRAFFIC:
- Cars not adhering to posted traffic signs - please be aware, vigilant, and courteous when entering and exiting our school areas - in order for us to maintain a safe environment for all pedestrians and vehicles.
Parents/Guardians: Please also discuss and remind your children to play safe and be safe when having recess. Our playgrounds are new and are beautiful, however, we are experiencing more visits to the nurse's office and an increased number of minor injuries.
