Principal's Message, January 2023

Dear Johnson Families,

The New Year is off to an excellent start!  I hope you all enjoyed a restful holiday break with family and friends.

Congratulations to the Johnson School 2022 - 2023 Educator of the Year, Ms. Brittany Angiolini, a 5th grade teacher, and the Educational Service Professional of the Year, Mrs. Debra Mooney Johnson Physical Therapist.  We are so proud of you and appreciate all you do!

Thank you to all the families that attended the 2nd Annual Winter Wonderland Event sponsored by our PTO.  Everyone had a blast! A strong partnership between parents and educators is essential for student success. We appreciate your continued support!

The countdown to the 100th Day of School continues!

The 80th Day will be will be “Totally Rad!” on January 13th and the 90th Day on January 30th will be “All that and a bag of chips!”.  Johnson students will be 100 Days Brighter on February 14th for the 100th Day of School.  Light it up with NEON and Bright Colors!

As we move into the colder months, its more difficult to keep our students active. Here are some great suggestions from our Physical Education teacher, Mr. Jakalow to keep your kids moving this winter. Stay Active this Winter!

January 20 will be Snowman Day!  Please see the attached information for more details on how your family can participate.

In an effort to help our community, Mrs. Glushko & Miss Carollo's’s class will be collecting cans of soup for our annual “Soup-er Bowl” event.  Each student is asked to bring in a can of soup and place it in the “TEAM BIN” of who they think will win the Super Bowl.  This is a fun way for our students to learn the importance of helping others.  All Donations will be delivered to the Jackson Food Pantry.  Thank you very much for all of your support.  Donations will be accepted from Monday, February 6th until Friday, February 10th.

*Please do not send any cans in until Mon, Feb. 6th.*

Check your local grocery stores for canned good sales!

Thank you for your support.
