• Welcome to the Instructional Media Center (IMC)

Click here for Information on our Winter Book Bonanza Book Swap :)

Students visit the IMC for Media class once a week. During our first marking period lessons, we learned about

    - Parts of a Book    - Roles of Authors and Illustrators    - How to evaluate books to see if they are just right for me    - Poetry-- theme, fluency, and vocabulary

    - How the library is organized by subject (Dewey Decimal System)   - Shelf Marker use  - Giving a book talk/book recommendation to friends

We are learning how to be responsible: take care of library books and remember to bring them back each week, so that you can borrow a new one 📖📚

I am encouraging all families to sign up for a library card or share your Ocean County library card number with your child.

    • Digital library cards can be applied for online and used to access all of Ocean County Library's databases and digital materials.  Corresponding physical cards will be made available for pick up at the branch anytime before the end of the school year. Students can have the barcode emailed to them in their school email to use remotely.

    • Books, audiobooks, graphic novels, and research websites are all accessible for FREE with your library card number
