Mrs. Lia Longo Thomas

It is my pleasure to introduce myself as your child's Art teacher. This is my thirteenth year at Crawford-Rodriguez Elementary School and my 23rd year in the Jackson School District. Prior to joining the Jackson school community, I taught Art in the New York City Public School System. I hold a Bachelor's Degree in Fine Arts from St. John's University and a Master's Degree in Elementary Education from Aldephia University. Teaching Art is my passion. Every day I am inspired by my students' creativity, hard work and enthusiasm for Art!

Outside of school, my other passion is my family - my husband Rich, my children Richard and Melissa and brand-new grandson Lucas. I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, traveling, antiquing, cooking (most of the time) and creating art in any way I can.
