Welcome to First Grade! I hope you have been enjoying your summer and having lots of fun! I am so excited to have you in my class this year!

We are lucky to have Mrs. Limongelli co-teaching with us this year.  We are going to have so much fun learning and growing together.  The only items you’ll need to bring to school on the first day are your backpack and a lunch box or money to buy lunch.

First grade lunch is 12:55-1:25. Therefore, our class will have a daily snack time in the morning. Please be sure to send a healthy snack in with your child every day. Students will not be allowed to have cookies, chips, or candy for snack in the classroom.  Students can have a water bottle in the classroom.  Below is a list of some snack ideas.

Fruit (apples, bananas, pears, grapes, etc.)

Veggies (carrot sticks, celery, peppers, etc.)

    Cheese and crackers

    Pretzels

    Crackers

    Granola bar

    Cheese stick

We’ll have all the supplies (folders, crayons, pencils, scissors and glue) you’ll need ready for you at your desk on the first day of school.   We have listed some additional items below that your child may want to have to help them be organized and utilize during the school year.

    Suggested Items

empty plastic pencil box or zipper pouch

4 pack dry-erase markers (black only, fine tip)

Please be sure to label all supplies with your child’s name (this includes backpacks and lunch boxes). We’re so excited to begin our year together and we can’t wait to meet you on September 5th!
