Understanding Assessments and Grading
Be Prepared for Graduation:
Please keep in mind that the state of New Jersey requires the successful completion of certain assessments (e.g. the NJSLA tests) in order for a student to graduate.
Assessments We Use
The Jackson School District uses a number of assessments to measure student achievement and to assist us in designing instruction that meets the needs of all students. These include state standardized tests (e.g. NJSLA and NJ ASK) and other assessments (e.g. SRI, SMI).

The Jackson School District administers testing at various times, with the majority of standardized testing taking place during state-prescribed windows in the spring. The dates referenced below are also available on the monthly event calendars on our district and school websites.
