      first grade

Welcome to first grade! We are so excited that you are in our class and we can't wait to meet you! We are going to have so much fun together learning and growing as readers, writers, spellers, scientists, and citizens. When you come to school we will have all of the materials you need ready for you here at your very own desk. There will be a pencil box for you filled with crayons, a pencil, a glue stick, scissors, and a dry erase marker and eraser. We will also have folders for you to keep your school work safe in your desk. If you already bought some of these items, you can keep them at home for your remote learning days.

We are asking that you please bring a small bottle of hand sanitizer as well as a cube-shaped box of tissues or a travel pouch of tissues for your desk area. Please make sure you have your name labeled on these items. If you want to send in extra sanitizer or tissues for our classroom supply, those will be greatly appreciated!  Also, an inexpensive pair of headphones or earbuds should be brought in to use with your chromebook. Please bring them in a ziploc bag labeled with your name. Finally, if you'd like to you can bring a lanyard for your mask if you’d like to for when we have mask breaks during the day (this is an optional suggestion).

We are very exctied to begin this learning adventure with you! Enjoy the rest of your summer vacation and we will see you soon!

Love Mrs. Martinez & Mrs. Moody
