Academy of Business
The Jackson School District's Academy of Business introduces motivated students to the highly competitive field of business. It offers a focused pathway for students who would like to concentrate their studies in business and provides experiences and opportunities that will help students get accepted to the schools of their choice.
The Academy of business features rigorous courses with a focus on real-world applications of skills and concepts, internships and job shadowing via an Advisory Council of Business Leaders, guest speakers, field trips, regional, state and international competitions, completion of a hands-on capstone project, college credit opportunities and more.
Students interested in being chosen for the Academy of Business must fill out an application and take an exam.

Students may apply to more than one Academy, but must complete a separate application for each Academy.

How Can I Apply?
Join us for our JSD PARENT ACADEMY INFORMATION NIGHT for all current eighth grade families at both Goetz and McAuliffe.
WEDNESDAY, OCT. 24 from 6PM to 7PM at Jackson Liberty HS Fine Arts Auditorium
Students interested in applying for the academy will need to submit an online application.The JAB Entrance Exams will be held onFebruary 13 - after school - for Goetz Applicants at the Goetz School. Ms. Fecak will confirm date, time and location.February 19 - after school - for McAuliffe Applicants at the McAuliffe School. Students may take the late bus home or, if they are being picked up, must be picked up at 3:30 p.m.APPLICATION PROCESS1. Students must complete this application online. The application will be open on October 16, 2018 and close on January 11, 2019.
2. Students will need to complete an on-site written evaluation. The on-site written evaluation will be given after school school in February 2019. For students attending schools other than Goetz and McAuliffe, they will be contacted to set up a convenient date and time for the on-site written evaluation..
3. March 1, 2019 - Acceptance letters will be sent out and students will need to confirm their acceptance into The Academy by Friday, March 15, 2019.Please note that all parts of the application must be completed, including the on-site written evaluation, to be considered. Any application that does not have all required components will not be evaluated until deemed complete.
