Kindergarten Registration - Postponed Until Further Notice - Use ONLINE Pre-Registration NOW
NOTE: During the time schools are closed for COVID-19,
it is VERY IMPORTANT that parents ACT NOW
to use the ONLINE PRE-REGISTRATION form
to get your information into our system.
You will then be contacted by our district registrar about any outstanding information that is needed, and also about an appointment to bring in residency documents once we re-open.
IN-PERSON KINDERGARTEN REGISTRATION is
POSTPONED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE.
Select a link below for the full schedule and instructions, which will open in a new window.
Kindergarten Registration Schedule and Information - will be updated with new date soon
Kindergarten Registration Schedule and Information (Spanish) - will be updated soon
There are TWO WAYS you can fill out the registration forms (See Below). Our online pre-registration system streamlines the process and will save you time during your kindergarten registration appointment.
Regardless of which way you choose, you will still need to come to a registration appointment in person with your child to submit your documents and proofs of residency. Any of the documents you see below can be downloaded from this site or picked up at any elementary school.
Requirements for students who attend a Jackson School District Pre-K program (either Pre-School Disabled or our tuition-based Pre-School Inclusion program):
You do not need to fill out the online registration forms that you completed when you registered for Pre-School. However, you DO need to bring your child to Kindergarten Registration Roundup to:
- Submit a new physical examination form;
- Submit a new dental examination form;
- Show proof of 5-year-old immunizations (if your child is not yet five, you will submit these after they reach the age of 5);
- Re-submit four proofs of residency for review;
- Meet our staff who screen each kindergartener in the district.
The forms above are available in the Kindergarten Registration Packet.
