As students continue their study of the French language in course II, they start to be able to say and write more of their own thoughts. Students build upon a general understanding of the language’s culture which is cultivated through reading, class discussion and research. Basic grammatical structures and idioms are studied. Students will be able to describe themselves to others, talk about people and possessions and what happened in the past. Emphasis is placed on the three modes of communication. Students will be able to present themselves and others, talk about weekend plans, plan a meal, and talk about free time and entertainment.
