DRYLAND PRACTICES- Waiting for the confirmation on location/room availability/equiptment- the dates and times are still TBD for dryland. There will not be dryland for the first week. Anticipate dryland on Monday/Wed/and Thurs for November starting on the 19th before the pool session (3:15-4:00)
Equipment Needed: Swimmers must have fins, pull buoys, snorkles, goggles, water bottle, and a competitive style swim suit for all practices. Fins, Pull Buoys, and Snorkles must be brought to practice starting on 11/19, and every practice after. In the event that the swimmer does not bring the required equipment to a practice, they will be asked to do dryland on the side until their lane finishes that set.
Swim Apparel will be ordered from Dependabilities this season. All orders must be placed and paid for through the online store. Click on the green tab on the upper left corner of the page. Then select Jackson Memorial Swim Team. The online store is opened through Sunday 11/18/18. No additional orders will be able to be placed after that date.
Physicals must be turned in ASAP to the nurse. No one will be able to get on the practice bus without being cleared by the nurse.
The first swim practice is Mon. 11/12. See the calendar section of this page for dates and times of practices. As more information becomes available, I will update.
We will be hosting a Flapjack Fundraiser breakfast on Sunday 11/18 from 8:00-10:00 at the Howell Applebees. All swimmers are being asked to sell 5 tickets at $10.00 each. Tickets will be distributed at the team meeting on Tuesday 11/6/18.
All parents are asked to attend one of the following parent meetings: Wed 11/14 at 7:15 when the practice bus returns OR Sat 11/17 at 10:00 prior to the 10:45 practice bus. Please bring a $50.00 pay to play check and your health insurance information to fill out the emergency forms. Fundraising and other bits of team information will be discussed. Both meetings will be held in the room upstairs from the library.
