Music Appreciation class is open to any student, grade 9-12, who is interested in learning about the history of music, performance techniques, musical styles, composers and performers. We begin with JS Bach and the Baroque era and follow the development of music all the way through history until present day. Every day, students watch and listen to amazing performances. Critiques are written and shared, and, along the way, students come to appreciate a wide variety of musical styles found in western culture.
