Hello Families,My name is Mrs. Barry and I will be your new second grade teacher! I have been teaching in the Jackson School District for over 20 years! I have taught both first grade and second grade classes! I am always so excited to meet all of my new students each new school year!We also have another teacher in our classroom, Mrs. Tilsner. Mrs. Tilsner is a special education teacher, and we have been co-teaching together for many years! We have so much fun teaching together, and we cannot wait for all of you to join in on the fun this school year!We cannot wait to meet all of you this September 2025!Some things you will need for class:- 1 pencil box to store items on desk
- crayons or colored pencils
- washable colored markers (optional)
- glue stick
- scissors
- 1 folder (can be any single folder of choice)
- dry erase marker
- water bottle (students may keep a water bottle on their desk, ONLY water)
- student ID badges (if your child does not have one, they will receive one in school)
- book bag
- 1 one subject notebook
If any of these items cannot be provided for your child, we will happily provide the items for them.
I will also be setting up a Google Classroom for your children, which we will use throughout the school year. This is where I will share weekly assignments, special announcements, videos, etc. Your child will receive an invitation email in their STUDENT EMAIL ACCOUNTS. Please make sure to look for this email and accept our Google Classroom.
