Mrs. Petrocelli
¡Hola! Me llamo Señora Petrocelli. I am a Spanish teacher here at Jackson Memorial High School. I am also one of the co-advisors for the Class of 2025 (along with Mrs. Mauro), the advisor for the Interact Club, and a mentor here at school.
I have always been very interested in the Hispanic Culture, as I am of Puerto Rican descent. My father was born in Puerto Rico and did not know how to speak English when he came to America at just 17 years old. My mother was born here in the United States but her parents, mis abuelos, came from Puerto Rico as well. As a child I learned to speak in both English and Spanish. After graduating from Jackson Memorial High School, I received my Associate’s Degree at Ocean County College. I then transferred to Kean University and double majored in Early Education and Spanish. I am now able to share the love I have for Spanish Culture with my students. I look forward to teaching my students how to communicate in the target language and about the Spanish-speaking world. ♥
