    Daily Updates

    Friday, September 20, 2019

Today we read a story about a squirrel and then sponge painted a squirrel.  We put on an acorn that we collected from our walk on our squirrel.  We honored those who served our country by walking with our Walk to Remember.  We read our Let's Find Out and talked about how to play with someone.  We had fun playing on the playground and riding scooters and bikes outside with our shed toys!  Have a great weekend.  Please return your red bags on Monday.

    Thursday, September 19, 2019

Today we read Dog's Colorful Day.  We used our felt board to retell the story and then colored a picture of Dog while we re-read again!  They did great at following directions!  We matched puzzle shapes together, finished shapes on a paper, worked on our cutting skills, and showed our show and tell.  We had fun playing on the playground and dancing to the Freeze dance!  Tomorrow our school is having a Walk to Remember to honor those who have served our country.  We will walk together as a school wearing RED, WHITE, and BLUE and sing patriotic songs.

    Wednesday, September 18, 2019

Thank you all again for taking time out of your busy schedules to come to back to school night!  It is very much appreciated! Today we made an apple suncatcher.  We took a survey on who has a pet, worked on opposites, colored and traced shapes.  We searched for acorns outside, played on the playground, and had fun rolling down the hill. I gave all of the children a container to keep in their backpack.  It is for tickets.  We will slowly introduce our ticket system to our class.  They will have the opportunity to earn a ticket if they are caught making good choices!  They can cash in 5 tickets to receive a prize from the prize box.  They are very excited about this!  Tomorrow is show and tell!

    Tuesday, September 17, 2019

Today we talked read a book about pets and talked about what they need.  We had fun playing with our classroom "pets" in our dramatic play area and playing on the playground.  We went outside to chalk and drew pictures of pets.  We worked on our tracing skills and traced a dog and cat.  We drew pictures in the library, read Good Dog Carl, and danced to The Rabbit Dance!  Back to School Night is at 5:30.

    Monday, September 16, 2019

Today we read a story about where apples come from.  We sang along to Five Red Apples Hanging from a Tree and then pretended we were apples.  We read I Am a Sunflower and made our own sunflower!  We drew our self portrait, played on the playground, and moved to This is the Way We Do It and Bop Till You Drop.  Tomorrow is Back to School Night at 5:30.  Hope to see you there!
