    Daily Updates

    Friday, January 18, 2019

Today we talked about a great leader, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.  We read our Let's Find Out about how he made a difference and then drew pictures of how we could be kind.  We cut out a picture of Dr. King colored it and glued it on paper.  We went to art class and painted, sang nursery rhymes, and showed our show and tell.  We had fun dancing our Friday dance and and following directions to Pop Se Ko!  Have a great weekend.  School is closed on Monday!

    Thursday, January 17, 2019

Today we worked on cutting skills and cut out letters and matched them.  We talked about hibernation and read Shhhhhh Bear Sleeping.  We colored our own Bear Book, played with a big box in the classroom and made a sand paper Uu.  Tomorrow is show and tell!

    Wednesday, January 16, 2019

Today we colored upper and lower case Uu, painted sticks to make a snowflake, and sang along to BINGO.  We worked on putting pictures in categories, went to our school concert to hear the 5th graders sing, and went to gym class.  We are working on Nursery Rhymes.  We had fun playing with our friends, and marching around the classroom!

    Tuesday, January 15, 2019

Today we reviewed letter U with our search and find paper and My Letter Uu box book.  We worked on What Goes Together, worked on fine motor with playdoh, and went outside to hang our bird feeders.  We read The Little Red Hen and then made a puppet.  We watched a video of The Little Red Hen and compared it to the story that we read in class.  We also drew pictures of our own Little Red Hen!

    Monday, January 14, 2019

Today we introduced letter Uu with our letter box.  We made a do dot Uu, matched letters, worked on following directions with My Lost Snowman activity, and played with our friends.  We read The After Christmas Tree and shared what we did with our trees at home.  We made a bird feeder out of pine cones and peanut butter and will hang them outside tomorrow!
