Man's Inhumanity to Mankind is a one semester course that focuses on the study of genocides, atrocities, and ethical issues from the past and the present. Students will be required to complete a research paper on an approved topic, an ethics portfolio, and a political philosophy portfolio on social issues pertaining to the present. The featured topics of the course are the Nature of Man, the Native Americans, African-American studies, the Armenian Genocide, the Holocaust, Cambodian Genocide, The Arab-Israeli Coflict, The War in Iraq and Afghanistan, Modern genocides in Africa in the 1990s and 2000s. Social issues facing the United States today will also be discussed and researched as students will be required to examine several opinions and points of view.
