    NEW .... Cell Phone Policy/Procedures.

This year students will still have the liberty to bring their cell phones to school.  However, there is a new policy regarding cell phone use/possession in the classroom/gym.

    • Students are required, upon entering the classroom to put their cell phone in the cell phone pocket pouch where it will remain for the entire period.
    • At the end of the period, once the bell rings, students will pick up their phone on the way out.
    • For Physical Education classes, students must keep their phones locked in their lockers in the locker room during gym class.
    • Students with medical issues, per the nurse, will be allowed to keep their phone with them.
    • Students may continue to use/have access to their phones in between classes & during Common Lunch.

    Common Lunch:

The common lunch is one hour in the middle of the day & it gives students the opportunity to eat lunch with their friends, as well as; get extra help, meet with teachers/coaches/counselors, have a study/work time, participate in a club, participate in the weight room(you must have a physical) make up classwork/do Physical Education make-ups, deal with discipline issues or just chill.   Common Lunch is NOT a time to roam/walk around the building.  You are expected to go to a destination & use the time wisely.

Please know that my # 1 rule is to treat others like you want to be treated.

We will all need to give each other some grace, kindness & patience. If we can do that, I think we will all experience an exciting and fulfilling year!

    with peace

    Ms. Gonzales
