Mrs. Maloney earned a BA from The College of New Jersey in 1987 and began teaching that same year.  She has been teaching high school English in Jackson since 1990.  Mrs. Maloney is a member of NCTE, NJEA, and the New Jersey Writing Alliance and a frequent workshop presenter.  Mrs. Maloney was Jackson Liberty's inaugural Teacher of the Year. Mrs. Maloney is co-advisor to the JLHS chapter of the National Honor Society and serves as a mentor to new teachers.
