• Algebra 1 (FY) is a two-semester course designed to meet the needs of students who have suctscessfully completed 8th grade. The purpose of this course is to provide each student with the basic concepts associated with Algebra I and a variety of activities to practice these concepts. To meet the wide range of student learning styles and to encourage active involvement, strategies will vary. This course will provide students with a foundation for future math courses.
     

    Afterschool help is offered Monday through Thursday in room B211 unless there is a faculty/department meeting.  PERIODS 2&3

    Algebra 2 is designed for the college bound student. Students will be expected to show proficiency in algebra skills and concepts including linear, quadratic, polynomial, power, exponential, logarithmic and rational equations and functions. Additional topics include sequences, and series and probability. This course will provide students with the foundation in algebra necessary for further study of mathematics. 0325 ALGEBRA II (PART 1) ^.5 0327 ALGEBRA II (PART 2) ^.5 Grades 10-12 Prerequisite: Placement with Guidance Department approval only, pending successful completion of Algebra 1 and Geometry Algebra 2 Part 1 and 2 is a twosemester course designed to intensively prepare students for advanced level mathematics at a slower pace and with a wide variety of strategies. Students will be expected to show proficiency in algebra skills and concepts including linear, quadratic, polynomial, power, exponential, logarithmic and rational equations and functions. Additional topics include sequences, and series and probability. This course will provide students with the foundation in algebra necessary for further study of mathematics.
