Conceptual Science is a course designed to provide students with foundational knowledge of the concepts of biology, chemistry, physics and earth sciences.
This course enables students to see how the structure and interactions of matter on the smallest scales result in the objects and phenomena we observe in daily life. Students will learn how the tools of chemistry relate to and can be applied to the study of the Earth, the environment, stars and planets, and living things.
Students will also master a wide array of laboratory techniques, utilize technology, and complete a variety of hands-on activities.
This course is aligned with Next Generation Science Standards.
Google Classroom and Meet will be used extensively during this course.
Supplies needed:
- Fully charged chromebook
- Writing utensil (pen or pencil)
Grades will be posted on the computer at all times and are updated frequently. Students are welcome to inquire about their grades on their own time (not during class-unless I allot specific time for this purpose.) I will send home progress reports to be signed by a parent several times a semester.
It is expected that everyone follows the rules that are outlined in the student handbook.
