Liberty's December Events

We hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving!  The second marking period ends on December 9th.  Report cards will be available on the portal beginning January 2nd

 Students of the Month


The seniors chosen were nominated by staff members for superlative achievement, whether it be for involvement in activities, academics, performance and sportsmanship, or showing outstanding improvement.  A committee then reviews and makes selections.

The student athletes were nominated by their coaches because they have excelled in games, practices and in the classroom.  The Athletic Excellence Squad reviews nominations and votes for one boy and one girl.

The students awarded were nominated by their teacher because they have gone above and beyond during class, have shown true character, excellent sportsmanship and are always prepared and on time.

On November 2nd, the Liberty Lion Band traveled to Vineland to compete in the State finals.  Not only did they come in 1st in their group, but out of all 16 competing bands, they had the highest overall music score, the highest overall color guard score, and the 2nd highest percussion score!  On November 11th, the Jackson Liberty Lion Band was voted by 92.7 WOBM, the best marching band in Ocean County!!!

Upcoming Events

Picture Makeups Underclassmen Picture Make Ups & Retakes are Tuesday, December 3rd from 10 am to 1 pm in C101.  Retakes please bring $5 and your original picture package.  Make ups please click here for order form.

Vendor Craft Fair The Award Winning Liberty Lion Band is sponsoring their annual Vendor & Craft Fair on Sunday, December 8th in the Main Gym from 10 am to 3 pm.  This is the biggest show in Ocean County with over one hundred vendors and crafters here to kick off your holiday shopping with unique gifts.  Please stop by!


JTV’s 3rd annual “Home for the Holidays”Home for the Holidays holiday spectacular is Friday, December 13th at 6:30 in the auditorium.  Tickets are $5 at the door.  Don’t this this evening of holiday performances, trivia, sing-alongs and photo with Santa in the lobby!

Our music department has been rehearsing in preparation for the Winter Concerts.  What better way to help begin celebrating the holiday season!  Please join us for our:

Choral Winter Concert on Thursday, December 12th

Band Winter Concert on Thursday, December 19th

 6 pm in our auditorium


We are on a shortened day schedule Friday, December 21stLiberty’s classes will end at 11:54 am.

Schools are CLOSED from Monday, December 23rd  through Wednesday, January 1st .  See the district calendar for more info.
