Biology is the study of life. What it is, where
it exists, how it continues to exist, and most
Importantly, how it evolves. The number one
goal of this class will be for you to gain an
appreciation of the wonders of biological
phenomena that you interact with every day.
That being said, student engagement with
scientific practices will be at the forefront of
this course. Learning science and “doing
science” cannot be separate. It is not so much
about what we know, but more so about how
we know what we know. This school year we
will work as a scientific community to
investigate phenomena and reveal a side of
life and yourself that you never knew existed.
