• Algebra 1 is a one-semester course designed for the competent academic mathematics students who has successfully completed Pre-Algebra. The purpose of this course is to provide each student with a challenging program in Algebra 1 as a foundation for future math courses. The scope and sequence of this course ranges from basic to more complex Algebra 1 skills. The course will be based on the enVision Algebra 1 textbook by Savvas. There are 11 "Topics" (Chapters) that are required to be taught in this course. Not all sections from each topic are required. The course will begin with a review of Pre-Algebra concepts, then the Algebra concepts. There are physical textbooks located in the classroom, and all students who are registered for this course have access to the online textbook.
