  • Girls Cross Country 2018

    Summer Practices:  This year we are allowed to start practice on August 15.  Our first practice will be on Wednesday, August 15 from 8:00 - 9:30 AM.  We will practice at Goetz.


                                    I will post information on this  class page. Go to the Goetz website and look under Teams/Clubs/Activities.

                                    I will also be using the Remind system.  Please follow the directions below to be added to my Remind Class Message system.

                                      I will not be able to let you participate until your name is on that list so

                                      please get a physical!!! Bring your physical “Receipt” with you to

                                      practice if you have one.

    Running Shoes - good shoes will be important to your physical health and strength during the season.  I am including some links that will show you appropriate shoes and places to get them.

  • Everyone needs to wear running shoes that are meant for TRAINING not RACING.  The best shoes will have a wide, supportive heel cup and cannot be easily bent in half at the middle.  Those shoes are racing flats and they do not provide proper support for the impact your legs, feet, and joints will receive while training.  


    Suggestions - Please do not feel that you must purchase one of these styles!  Do some research - I also suggest going to a running store such as Miles Ahead Sports in Wall or Runners High in Freehold.  They should help you find the perfect shoe for your foot.  However, please be sure to ask for training (or even trail) shoes and NOT Racing flats.
